2009 Summer Day Camp Handbook
This camp is for kids entering Kindergarten through 3rd grade and offers each
child a wealth of hands-on activities to promote their physical, cognitive,
social, emotional and spiritual development. Camp offers plenty of field trips,
daily swimming, recreational games and play with friends, character development
lessons, Bible stories, craft activities, camp songs, guest speakers, and so
much more fun! Our trained day camp staff is full of energy and ready to
implement creative lessons and activities to ensure each child has a successful
day camp experience.

2009 Summer Day Camp Handbook
This camp is for 4th - 6th Grade children and offers kids the opportunity to
interact and work with the day camp staff and assist them with planning various
portions of the day camp fun and activities. Kids will learn cool camp songs,
create skits and performances for various audiences, and experience crafts and
other camp activities that encourage teamwork and sharing. This camp offers
plenty of opportunities that enhance social and physical skills as well as those
that challenge the preteen intellectually. This camp keeps your preteen child
active during the summer months as well as providing opportunities to read books
and journal about their camp experiences. Campers will swim daily and enjoy
several field trips throughout the summer.

Entering 7th Grade and Up
2009 Summer Day Camp Registration Form
2009 Summer Day Camp Handbook
Our YMCA Counselor in Training program offers the older child (7th - 9th Grade)
an opportunity to learn how to become a day camp counselor and will work with
the Kid Camp (K-3rd grade) campers and staff. Participants in the program
experience all the fun that the kids and staff experience, but the main
objective is to model their day after our Y camp counselors and assist them
with planning and implementing the day camp activities. They will also have
the opportunity to guide the children as they engage into their daily activities.
This camp prepares the older child for their first work experience.
