YMCA Policies & Disclaimers

Facilities:
All facilities participants are expected to follow the rules of the facilities.  Specialty areas of the facilities have posted signs stating special rules specific to that area.  Disregard or abuse of facility rules may result in removal by staff or police from the facility for a designated length of time or permanently.

Smoking:
All Lincoln Area YMCA facilities are designated non-smoking areas, including spectator/viewing areas.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Warning of Risk:
Recreational activities/programs are intended to challenge and engage the physical, mental, and emotional resources of each participant.  Despite careful and proper preparation, instruction, medical advice, conditioning and equipment, there is still a risk of serious injury when participating in any recreational activity/program.  Understandably, not all hazards and dangers can be foreseen.  Depending on the particular activity, participants must understand that certain risks, dangers, and injuries due to inclement weather, slipping, falling, poor skill level or conditioning, carelessness, horseplay, unsportsmanlike conduct, premises defects, inadequate or defective equipment, inadequate supervision, instruction or officiating, and all other circumstances inherent to indoor and outdoor recreational activities/programs exist.  In this regard, it must be recognized that it is impossible for the Lincoln Area YMCA to guarantee absolute safety.

Adults can come play pickup basketball games at the YMCA Activity Center.  Each week teams are created and for an affordable price you can compete in full court action!  Bring your 'A' game and your best sneakers, the guys mean business.  Participate against the best and worst Lincoln has to offer!

  BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The Lincoln Area YMCA is pleased to have the opportunity to serve you and your family year round with well structured and affordable school age programs for Pre-K (at Adams school), and Kindergarten - 6th grade. The Lincoln Area YMCA School Age program activities include daily snack, physical games and recreation, craft fun, homework assistance, character building, a reading program, table games and activities, plus much more! Many of our activities will stimulate social interaction, enhance physical development, and accelerate intellectual abilities. Participants in Before/After School must be current YMCA Members.

School’s Out Fun Days are special fun activity days that are often thematically planned according to the relative season. Kids experience recreational games and play, hands-on projects, art fun, guest speakers, story time, mini character development lessons, and much more that encourages and promotes social skills and physical development.
